This is where the story begins,
Getting to this point is a matter of finding which trail you chose to take,
We of course did not chose a trail, but that is not the point,
This is "THE CHUTE"
It actually dosen't look like much in the photo, but ask the guy who's sled is ski-side-up,
This is a good workout, and the steep part is in the trees to the right.
The sled in this photo is neither Sean nor I, but that again is not the point.
This is the steep part!
And I hate to say it, but that's also me under the sled.
If I tell you I had to follow sean in a narrow chute and follow in the snow he tore up, and that failing once, I had to try an alternate rout....over a stand of reasonable sized alders...on the hillside,
you would think I was only making excuses,
and you would be right.
(but it's true)
Anyway there I was, like an amateur, with my sled on top of me, and Sean wanted to take a photo!
Thanks for the help!
After we got through the chute, the climb continued,
but the snow became softer and the difficulty was not as severe.
the day was beautiful, and the snow was perfect!
and because of the climb in, others had left it untracked just for us.
LET THE WORK BEGIN!
My Place
It sure didn't take long to get to this bench where we could overlook the Klehini Valley.
This is a poor photo of my place, you can see the gray roof on my shop and the 2 rental trailers to the right.
This was just a spot to take a break before continuing the Quest to Trash the Snow.
