As you can see, today was beautiful!
It was strange how we started off with one group of riders, and parts kept breaking off, and others linked up.
This happened so many times I couldn't keep track.
Here is the bunch that stayed together the longest!
Here is one of a bazillion peeks we play on,
I Have never seen the summit with so many tracks all over everything!
Note the vertical spine type outcropping near the peak.
we all had fun seeing how high we could get to the rocks.
Then Jay shot straight up the right side of the outcropping, jumped the top of it horizontally, and came back down the left side!
Here is a closer shot of the same thing.
You can see the tracks he made.
I was too busy watching to dig the camera out!
It was truly amazing!
To go as high as the lower rocks is frightening!
You are climbing near vertical it seems and the height is terrifying!
I can only imagine what it must be like beyond that!
Even in the photo you can see the difference of angle between the lower and upper snow on this huge mountain!
Here is another classic "Jay Nelson"
you can see the cornice to the right, this was some vertical snow!
Again this was at the top of a huge face that we all got a thrill out of climbing to the base of the cornice!
And yes, he is actually 10 feet or more in the air at the top of this run!
See his shadow to the left?
I really thought this was literally un-doable until I saw him do this myself!
