Porcupine-Big Salmon loop

Well, we made it through the timber and still have to cross the river, but here is a much better place to do that!
Now we are on the river flats of the Big Salmon. The river runs from bank to bank with dozens of small "branches" we probably cross these parts of the river a dozen times if once. Looking for a good spot both to enter as well as exit the water is part of the fun.

This is a view of the Klehini River. you can see how the water runs all over the place.
when the water runs full in the spring, the river carves out it's banks and changes it's course yearly.
This makes for a new playground every season!

We must cross once again, and here the banks are steep all along. This is me taking the proverbial "flying leap!"

Here I am just having the time of my life!
Long runs are fun because you really know it is not just momentum carrying you across.
