There are moose, like cows in a pasture, around here.
On our trip we saw an otter in a beaver pond,
In the new light layer of snow, we saw a pack of wolf tracks and tons of fox tracks, ermine, and rabbit, but still no sign of the elusive Lynx.
Although the river here is narrow, I had to jump off a steep bank into the river, when the other side has a steep bank, you cannot hit it going fast so you must slow the sled down, the back sinks at the same time you hit the bank, careful timing and it goes smooth!
We've made it down the Big Salmon, and through our trapping territory, and now we are working our way back up the Klehini River to where we started.
Here is Sean scouting this steep, dry bank, crossing where he will have to jump off the edge, into the river and out onto the other side.
Which is not hard with machines like these!
He has just jumped off the bank and is about to land in the river.
There are so many more stories but a guy can only take so many photos when he is having this kind of fun!
That's all for this trip,
see you on the next one.
