It was to cold for equipment to run so Sean had the day off. That was all that was required for us to go for a ride, so I left my taxes for another day and Sean, Jerry and I went to have some fun. We headed for Walker lake, but with little snow the alders where everywhere, so we turned back here. |

Before we left though we got a good look at the overflow on the river. This is quite an unusual site for us, and the photo shows how much water is all over a normaly defined path. |

So we decided to take a look at Glacier creek. A fun run up the river you just saw, then a turn to the left takes us up the mouth of the creek. Here Sean was trying to see how deep a hole he could open by riding his sled across a frozen creek. He said he heard a shotgun blast, felt the sled start to drop, and punched it. When he looked back he got quite a surprize! |

| We had just discussed not 10 minuets ago how overflow can freeze a few inches on the surface, then the water breaks it's dam further down stream, and drops several feet, leaving a skin of ice to cover a real problem. I guess Sean just had to see one. It's a good thing he wasn't curious about how deep it was! |
