Big Salmon, south

Jan. 3, 2003

Words cannot express the feeling you get when the air is clean and crisp, the scenery is glorious, and the snow is trackless as if God made this day just for you!
We ended up coming back up the Chilcat River
bouncing from one side to the other
and crossed the many fingers of the Big Salmon at the delta.

In this photo you can see Sean heading for a steep bank on an angle,
I was afraid he would deflect off and end up back in the river.
It seems he was thinking the same thing
so he hit it with a good bit of speed
and launched off the top of the bank with style!

We sortof needed to cross the river a few times
to get where we needed to be,
but there were a few crossings that happened just because.

The sleds were running good and the water was swift.
The lack of ice buildup made exits pretty simple,
so it was just too inviting!

I came back refreshed and re-invigorated.
a guy needs that more often than I rememberd,
and I am looking forward to many more rides soon!
