Wolf Trapping

Dec 27, 2002

Today it is 6 degrees and I couldn't find anyone to ride with,
so all you get this trip is scenery.

Today I broke a trail out to our trapping grounds...

The snowfall has brought all the alders down into the trail, which made for interesting going.
The sun was just peeking over the mountains and cast an enchanting glow along the trail.
One of the alder braches got the better of me and attacked my face!
After breaking out of the timber we are now on the Big Salmon River delta.
It was exceptionaly beautiful today.
This little island always makes a statment in each season.
I rode out to the chilkat river ( the photo). the fog on the water made it really pretty.
some days are like that. no hard riding, just enjoying the wilderness,(a short plug for you enviromentalists!)
