Fantasy Ravine

I did get a chance to photo this family of playful otters, I agree with Sean they are the coolest animal, they seem to be so happy and playful all the time. We sat and watched them until they got bored and disapeared under the ice.
Here we had to leave the sleds, even though the ice was unusually quite frozen. We were able to walk around the corner on the ice and into unkown territory!
Usually even in the dead of winter the water is open here, and there is plenty of it, then there is a large rock pile filling the narrow ravine, so we have not ventured further till now.
(I think maybe we may be getting old or something, last year we would not have considered leaving our sleds to walk!)
Have you ever wondered why you get so excited seeing something new? The blood starts pumping and you begin to perk up, something just pulls you further. That's what it was like scrambling over the rocks and getting a glimps of the narrow canyon beyond. "Hey, There is almost a path here, common you guys!" I wonder, what is around that bend?
