Here it is the next day, but hey, when your on a role...
We left from Sean's house and headed for the Chilkat to play in the drainages. Sean's son Steven rode today and it was a fun ride with no plan in mind, just head up the river and see what would happen.
It had warmed up over night just enough to open some water, but mostly it was froze good. here is Sean cleaning his sled.
We took a short detour off the river, to change the pace more than avoid open water, onto an old logging road to Jocko's Landing. a bit to many alders for my tast, "are you sure this is a road?"
Back on the river Sean and Steven are planning a strategy for this more complex crossing.
The far bank has a steep shore, and not a direct approach, but steven handles it with ease.
