Catfish II - The Rescue

It didn't take long to find the melted piston and jug. Options were discust, which ain't much in Haines. Calls were made, and more discussion. The guys were broken hearted to have to head home after only one day of riding but things were not looking to good.

While the talk continued, Sean began to dig the rings out of the piston with a razor knife, more out of a curiosity if he could than anything else.

So Trent, seeing the effort by Sean, began to do a little work on the thing himself.
Sean got the rings out, so we began to knock the aluminum from them while he carved new grooves in the piston and honed the jug with 100 grit sandpaper.
They put the whole thing back together and fired it up to see what would happen.

It ran great. so Trevor took it out for a test drive, and came back positive he could make another trip with it.

So we made plans to "give it a go" the next morning for kicks and grins. But that is the story of the next trip! It just keep on getting better!
