Part II - Hidden Meadows

As far as we know this is the only way into Hidden Meadows. This trail, if you find it, starts in deep timber directly at the base of an avalanche type chute so there is no way to get a run at it. Because of the shade it is usually softer snow than the surrounding area, so it is harder to hook up. Then it has bumps, fallen trees, and things to keep you from making a good run. It breaks down any speed you get, and tends to push you to the left, right into deep timber from which there is no escape.
It is like driving on a paved bend in the road, sloped the wrong way, with a layer of ice. It is very difficult to describe but has about every complication a hill can have... which makes it that much more fun!
This is the only time Trent's longtrack was stuck the whole trip.
This is a point about half way up, and is the show stopper. by the time you get here you have lost all momentum, It sharply drops off to the left and turns to the right. it is like the final staw. After several runs I didn't think Trevor was going to make it. But he kept at it and found "his path" to the top, making this the second time anyone has been up here with a sled.
When you get here is is well worth the effort! What a view. from here there are a dozen trails through the trees, small meadows and lots of view points to enjoy. and no tracks! ( I love that!)
