Jarvis Glacier

Feb 26, 2004

30 Degrees F

We had alot of fun in the river, Chuck learned more about water, (but not too much) and Jerry came along too!
But since this trip is not about the river, I will leave out the photos before we began our ascent up the Jarvis Glacier.
We all arrived at the base of the glacier, crossed the creek at our usual spot and began the steep but short climb up the left side to get on top of the flow.
The snow was very hard and the light was good so we had our pleasure at riding the lumps of ice burried under a hard blanket like the frosting on a cheep cake from a chain store.

The black spot here is a cave we will look at on our way back.

Sean and I had so much fun up and down, following whatever "trail" seemed to fall before us, around this lump over that one, up and up.
by the time we got here we figured we should wait for the others. but after shooting the few bulls we saw we ran out of things to say and figured they weren't comming, which turned out to be right. so off we ran sidehilling this spot which we knew we wouldn't be able to talk Chuck into anyway. (the black spot is Sean)
