Jarvis Glacier

To this point the whole glacier has been in the shade, but that is about over and the rest of the trip should be in the sunshine.
Sean took off and got that far before I could dig the cammera out! this is a heck of alot of fun!

He is setting at the junction between the Jarvis, to the right, and the Little Jarvis to the left.

Now I have caught up with him and we sat in the warm sun to wait and see if the guys were coming. Sean is looking back down the way we came.
The snow suddenly had about 4" of nice fluff to keep the tracks cool and make the ride even more enjoyable.
Sitting there waiting we began to talk about what might be up the right glacier, the Jarvis. We have always avoided that rout because of the turbulent form the glacier takes on that side. But today with the hard snow and a second to ponder the idea, we elected to give it a go.

Enough waiting,   let's ride!
