I have been eyeballing this mountain for some time now, every trip from town I stare at it, waiting for the right snow.
This is 5207' Porcupine Peak.
It didn't take much talking and Sean was ready to go.
The logging road is drivable now, so we headed on in to cut off some undesireable riding.
Just before the usual Big Salmon turnoff we headed up a switchback logging trail where Sean logged a few years back.
It got us to a nice chute to climb into what is quite a sidehill slope.
The sun was hot and we dumped our coats before we started up.
The snow was tired, It was definitely the end of the season,
but we were able to pull the hill with a touch of finesse and got to treeline.
From here we got a view we don't get a chance to see much.
